About My Life

I am an Artist and Archaeologist, restoring the world one creative project at a time. While most archaeologists study ancient ruins, my focus is on the human and finding the gold within. I use my data classification skills & my art to help humans understand their life based on the artefacts they have created and left behind. At any given moment we have what is needed to take the next step, it's just a matter of knowing how to creatively use what you have. My personal style as a painter reflects the broken human who fused themselves with gold. No matter how broken a human is, we have the capacity to create as much gold needed to fuse ourselves back together and live a peaceful life.
One of my earliest memories is of playing on the blocks alongside the construction of my family home in Dominican Republic. Watching the ruins alongside me transform into a beautiful palace formed the building blocks of my life as an archaeologist. Our backyard was a huge jungle of trees with a variety of flora, an eden for me to explore. I often went down to the river with my grandfather to swim with the neighborhood kids. I recall sitting on the kitchen countertop of our family home in Dominican Republic, posing for my godmother while she sketched me. But it wasn't until I saw my dad drawing the characters from Super Mario Bros 3 that I knew I wanted to become an artist. By then we had moved to the South Bronx and since we didn't go outside to play much, our home became our creative palace.
Regularly I’d watch in awe as my jeweler father crafted rings out of scraps and my seamstress mother brought any magazine outfit to life. I remember a childhood full of art marathons with my brother and playing make-believe with my sisters. The Barbies had tons of clothes because my mom taught me how to sew. My father painted the entire apartment beautifully. We were poor but with art we had access to a world of magic and possibilities.
I was a very quiet child but I was always very involved in school. I was no stranger to the chess and math clubs. My first experiences on stage were at regional spelling bees. At P.S./I.S. 218 Rafael Hernandez Dual Language Magnet School I played the flute with the middle school band. I was good at every sport I tried. Even when I didn´t want the lead roles in the school plays I got them. I was just that good at reverse engineering any task. My curiosity for the human sent me on a journey comparable to the Odyssey.

Twenty years would take me through the following 7 Careers: Musical Theatre, Belly Dance, Event Hosting and Planning, Call Center, Dance, Therapeutic Recreation and Art. I didn´t just pass by these kingdoms- I immersed myself from the bottom and climbed to the top thanks to my archaeology and my art skills. In order to truly understand people, I needed to be where the people were. I needed to both serve and lead. I wanted to find the connections and understand the beautiful art that we are. I broke many times along my way, but everytime I created the gold I needed to fuse myself back together and this is where it lead me. To the point where the end is the beginning. Because each one of my points of breakage sparked a quest to find the reasoning behind it and the creative solution to fix it. It is the reason why I am now both a scientist and a creative. And the bridge you need to find your gold. The kind of gold you will want to share with the world.
